What's up?!

Here are some photos and updates from the week.

Shelly went to a party last week and dressed up as a kitty. It's our go-to costume...quick and easy.

Yesterday was National Cat Day and Daisy decided to show me some extra love in the morning.

This little boy celebrated his 50th birthday on the road. He came back home to us at 11:15 last night! We are happy to have him here and to celebrate his big day tonight.

In other news, the house sale is moving along. The process of moving is a bit stressful. Don't let anybody tell you differently. But, I just have to keep thinking...this too shall pass. Right!?

I'm so grateful for my family. It's so comforting to know you have people there for you who are looking out for your best interest. Can't imagine not having that good fortune.

Looking forward to a terrific Halloween and it's on a Saturday and it's time to turn the clock back! Bonus all the way around!

Driving Miss Daisy

The buyers had a home inspection done on our house the other day and our realtor asked if I could take the cat and leave the house during the inspection. So, I did just that. Daisy and I drove around for over three hours. We even shared some chicken minis from Chick Fil A. She was a very good sport. Since I wasn't comfortable with getting in and out of the car with Daisy inside, we spent the entire time together inside the car. Here are a few photos from our outing.

Monday Musings

Our house was listed on the market with a realtor for 11 days and we received two offers. We accepted the second offer and now we are being cautiously optimistic about the next steps. Fingers crossed and saying my prayers.

Here are some of the aerial views taken of our house for the realtor's listing. Thought these turned out great

Shelly and Lily did great on their report cards for the first six weeks. Really proud of them both. Lily was also selected for the Beta Club National Honor Society at her high school.

The girls were out of school for a teacher workday and we went shopping with their friends. Lots of fun and laughs!

Shelly and Daisy love to play a shoe tying game in the morning before school.

Shelly and I were headed out for a walk and noticed the change to our sign in the front yard.

And, one more---today is my sister, Kathy's, birthday! Have a great day, Kath (far left next to my mom on my wedding day)!!!

Spinning

When my head starts spinning from all of the things happening in my life, a few things seem to end up receiving less attention. And my blog has been the victim of this neglect. So, I am randomly adding a few tidbits to the blog about our life.

I decorated some pumpkins.

Daisy has been enjoying the recent appearance of the sun

Lily and her friend Grace at a high school football game.

This is exactly how I feel about standardized tests.

Shelly made this for extra credit in Social Studies

Our house is now listed with an agent. Here's the listing. Be sure to click on the photo gallery for updated pictures.

We bought a house in Virginia Beach!!! Yay. That's exciting combined with a dash of stress because we now own two homes!!!

Lily finished the Homecoming responsibilities for this year's event. She served as the co-chair of the committee and was always organizing and planning for the big day!

Here's a silly video of the girls from Snapchat:
