This is post number 222!!! Cool, reminds me of Room 222...does anyone else remember that show from the 70's? Anyway, I am off track.

This post is about the bedding I ordered for Lily's room. It was back ordered until the 31st of July. I got an email on Wednesday that said it was in and shipping!! Woo Hoo. I tracked it about every 12 hours and of last night it was in Charlotte...yippy! And this morning at about 10, the Fed Ex guy arrived with my box...Yee Haw!!! So we opened it up, ironed the bed skirt, and put it on the bed. It is so super cute. We still need new window treatments and some wall decor, but I am loving it. I am also including some pictures of Shelly's bedding for her sweet little twin bed. I am happy with the results. I think it will be a nice way to start out a new school year with fun new bedding. Here are the pics:

So today I am offering up some tips on saving your digital images. First, I download my pictures onto my computer after every major picture taking event. I very rarely have tons of pictures on my memory card since I am always downloading. Once the photos are on my computer they receive a relevant name...i.e. 4th of July. Then I edit the photos and rename the pictures with something that makes sense to me...i.e. fireworks.jpg, dickbarbara.jpg, etc. Once all of the editing and renaming is complete, I delete all of the photos with the original camera name...i.e. 4th of July0002.jpg. This way I am left with only the images I want and the ones that have been properly edited. Now, I go to the Pictures file on my computer. Once in this file, I have the months designated with a folder. So, for my 4th of July pictures, I find the July month folder and drag the 4th folder into it. TA DA. Done with organizing the photos and now I can easily find them. At the end of the month, I order my prints (usually through Winkflash or Snapfish). After about 3 months, I save them on to a disk and label the disk with the months and year. These are then placed into a nifty little CD case in chronological order. And I go back and delete the photos from my hard drive. Viola organized digital photos...fast and easy!

So, it has been a while since my last post. Sorry 'bout that. Saturday morning, Lily prepared a restaurant breakfast with bacon, pancakes, and blueberries. She was our waitress and served us in the den. All went well until one of the blueberries fell. At that point, mommy went a tad bit nutty and decided the restaurant was a not-so-great idea for the den carpet. Probably squelched some good childhood fun, but I was having a moment.

On Saturday afternoon, we took a fun spontaneous trip to Boone, NC. This is a lovely place in the middle of the NC mountains. We spent the evening their and then got up on Sunday and headed to Tweetsie Railroad. The girls had a great time on the rides and eating some yummy ice cream. We came home refreshed from our little trip.

This week we are taking it easy. Happy Summer.

So, we decided on a set of bedding for Lily's room. This is by Little MissMatched and everything but the bed skirt are reversible. This company is the same one that creates the cute miss matched socks that Lily loves...really her all time favorites!!! So, I am hoping for some good quality out of this bedding. Well, I think three posts in a day is probably sufficient. So, off to bed we'll go!

So today we had a couple of weddings at our house. Lily and Shelly wore their fancy garb to attend their big wedding day. We played wedding music and they marched down the aisle. I officiated at today's sacred event. Between heaps of giggles and fun I pondered what they would look like on their actual wedding day...who they would marry...what they would become. And, of course, being known to cry at the drop of a hat, I shed a few tears...mainly of happiness. And, here's a link to all of the silliness...http://my.videoegg.com/video/eKtYqM
After the big event, we tore into the cool new hair beading kit that my friend, Denice, told me about. It was purchased for a dollar at the Dollar Tree and the girls loved it. Fortunately, I bought two kits. My first try with the beads caused me to pull too hard and I broke the wand. So, as a warning to all...use a small section of hair for beading. Once I realized this, all went well.
Since I have been all about hair lately, here is a photo of Shelly in the pigtails she selected from the AG doll hair book.
Happy Weekend! K :)

It is a quiet and beautiful morning here in NC. The sun is rising and I am ready to go for my walk. That feels good. I have slacked on the walks this summer and I can tell it is effecting my mood.

I just read one of my favorite blogs this morning and found that my little blog was mentioned on her site. Oh my gosh! How cool is that??? So perhaps more than just my devoted mother and sisters will read these words. Guess I better say something profound...oops, probably no fear of that happening!

We did some reorganizing of bedrooms the other night. Shelly now has a single twin in her room and Lily has the full size bed in her room. I think it will work out well since both girls sleep in Lily's room and they will have more space for their nighttime rest. We found an adorable quilt and sham set at Marshall's for Shelly and hoping to get something for Lily. She is leaning toward the Hawaiian/surf inspired themes.

Ok, off to walk. But, of course I'll leave with a few photos and digi pages to peruse:
