First...a big Happy Birthday to my sister-in-law, Mary Katherine!!! Enjoy your day.

It is absolutely beautiful here today. The sun is shining and the temp is somewhere in the high 60s. John mowed the lawn, the girls played, and well...I took pictures, of course! Here are some of my faves:

So, Lily and Shelly loved being outside and they helped daddy plant some shrubs. That's a collage of our spring time flowers in our yard. They are just so pretty right now.

It's super quiet here right now. The girls and daddy went for a golf cart ride and I think I'm supposed to be showering so we can head out on an adventure later. Happy day to all!!!! Stop to smell the flowers.

Here's a list of some Nifty Nines:

1. This ultra cool colander turned into a nifty storage container.

2. Fun t-shirt for a nice warm day.

3. Pretty pink cake platter for a spring celebration.

4. This absolutely darling crown hanging over a pretty bed...love, love, love it!

5. Fun card plates for some super fun Poker nights.

6. Great little crayons that are shaped in a funky new way.

7. Shabby chic apron that makes any cook look like a gourmet.

8. My latest fascination...the bootie bag...loving these! The price is a bit much, but the style is so cute and I can't resist the great name!

9. What a sweet little dress up outfit or perfect Halloween costume (you can never plan too early, can you?).

Hope you enjoy these and it helps to inspire your own list.

On another topic, I am making a list of the cool things that happened to me in my 30's. So, here goes:

  • I lived alone in my cute little apartment.
  • I had my own little kitty who kept me company.
  • I ended a 9 year relationship with someone who was totally wrong for me.
  • I met the man of my dreams (really...of my dreams)!
  • I married that man!
  • I achieved many of my goals in my teaching career.
  • I had two beautiful baby girls.
  • I quit my teaching job.
  • I moved to a different state and got ready to start all over.
  • I became a mom of a Kindergartener.
  • I drive a cool minivan.

Wow, I plan to continue adding to my list. My 30s have been such a time of change, growth, and happiness. I feel as if I have really made a difference in my life over the past 10 years. I look forward to the promise of new and exciting adventures in my 40s!!! Can't wait!

Hair trauma!!! That is what has consumed my last 48 hours. On Wednesday, I head out for my 2:30 hair appointment, unaccompanied and feeling good. For the next 2 hours, my new hair girl works on weaving in highlights (I thought) and chatting NONSTOP!!! When she is done, my hair has taken on a nice hue of brownish, grayish, blonde! When I arrive home, John tells me it make me look older and Lily says it contains too much gray! I'm a wreck at this moment. So, Lily and I head to CVS for two boxes of hair color. I dump both boxes on my head in just 18 hours time. I am starting to blonde up a bit, but still have dark and gray in my hair...not the combo I'm looking for. This morning, while at Wal-mart, I decide to buy yet another box of color (this time lighter blonde) and come home to dump that box on my head. Finally getting blonder, but I still see some of that brown/gray junk in there. The upside to all of this (as I quickly approach 40 on Monday), I still have hair and I like the hair cut!!! But, the hair girl will never touch my hair with hair color, again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, on to something cuter...

And this...

Have a wonderful weekend and a GREAT hair day!!!!!!!!!!!!
